Launched as a fully virtual platform, by 2021 the GFF emerged as a timely response to the need for continued dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in financial services when physical convening was not possible. These editions demonstrated the strength of the GFF vision—enabling meaningful policy dialogue and industry collaboration despite global uncertainty—and laid a solid foundation for what would follow.
In 2022, GFF transitioned into a hybrid and scaled format, reflecting renewed global momentum and the growing relevance of financial technology in driving financial inclusion, resilience, and economic recovery. The first fully physical edition was hosted in Mumbai in 2023, marking a defining milestone in GFF’s journey as a global fintech conference.
