As part of Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, State Bank of India is launching a hackathon focused on identifying innovative solutions for customer acquisition, digital adoption, and digital engagement within the banking ecosystem.
The hackathon aims to bring together fintechs and startups to develop technology-driven solutions that can help improve banking services, accelerate digital transformation, and create meaningful customer experiences at scale.
Participants will be required to develop working prototypes addressing SBI's identified problem statements under the AI & Emerging Tech track.
Banks today face increasing challenges in acquiring customers at scale, driving adoption of digital products, and creating meaningful long-term engagement.
This hackathon invites startups and fintechs to build next-generation Agentic AI solutions that can autonomously assist banks in:
Customer acquisition and onboarding
Digital product adoption
Personalised customer engagement
Intelligent financial interactions
AI-led banking journeys

Prototypes will be evaluated by SBI's jury panel across six dimensions:
Idea Submission
Participants must submit their ideas online through the GFF website/app.
Top 10 teams will be shortlisted for the jury round.
Prototype Development
Shortlisted teams receive approximately 30 days to build working prototypes.
The intellectual property of the developed solutions will remain with the participating teams and startups. SBI may explore future collaboration opportunities for deployment or commercialisation of selected solutions.
