Overview

The India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which entered into force on 15 July 2026, creates a significant opportunity to deepen financial services and fintech collaboration between the two countries through enhanced services commitments, financial services provisions, digital trade cooperation, investment facilitation, and greater professional mobility. This roundtable will bring together leading UK fintech and financial services firms along with key Indian regulators, banks, investors, NBFCs and fintechs to explore collaboration opportunities arising from the newly implemented India–UK CETA. The discussion will focus on market-entry pathways, partnership models, regulatory engagement, digital finance innovation, cross-border payments, embedded finance, AI, digital identity, and investment opportunities. Participants will exchange practical insights on how the agreement can accelerate bilateral trade, innovation, and commercial partnerships while supporting the next phase of UK–India fintech growth.
